Wow, what a wild ride this book took me on! There was heartbreak, love, anger, sadness, hope and some serious hot and steamy moments.
Melanie is a super driven, very smart high school senior who gets caught up in a mess when her so called best friend gets her in some serious trouble. When the chance to get out of her small town is jeopardized she seeks out someone to help her forget all of her troubles, even if it's only for a little while.
Jake is new in town, needing to get away from the city, he is helping out his uncle at the local police department. When Melanie crosses his path one night, their worlds are changed forever.
This book had me hooked from the moment I started reading. The things Melanie had to experience in her young life were heartbreaking, yet she was still so strong. I really liked how the book is told from both her and Jake's pov so we can see how both of them are feeling throughout the story. I was definitely not ready for this book to end because I wanted more!
A must read book for sure.
