*REVIEW* Ryker by Dawn Robertson

REVIEW from Sassy Southern

3 stars
This book has a lot of potential-it’s hard to write a great MC book with a unique plot. Lyric and Ryker are immediately attracted to one another, but have to wait to act on it because she is with another man. When Ryker saves Lyric, they feel the connection even deeper. As the two fall in love, fight their chemistry, and find a way to be together, the MC Ryker belongs to is at war with a rival gang.
The writing was well done, but there was just so much going on that included outside supporting characters. I know this was to set it up as a series, but it did get a bit confusing at times. Also, a lot of characters were reintroduced from other series this author has.
This definitely has potential to be a higher rated book, but I’m going to go  ahead and read her other novels and come back to it. I believe that will alleviate some time I spent reading about characters that had their own little story within the book.
