Victor is the King, literally, and as such should be able to do or have whatever he wants, right? Well, that's his opinion when it comes to the woman he wants to claim as his, to have her in every way. He's watched her for a while and knew she was meant to be his, he's just waited until the right moment to make his move.
Willow has crushed on Victor since he was a prince, but as a commoner she knows she's dreaming about something that can never come true. Until she's wrong and learns Victor does want her as his queen.
While some may consider Victor's persuasion as blackmail, he did offer to help Willow's mother get the medical treatment she needs in exchange for marrying him, but to Willow it's a win-win. Her mom will live and she'll be Victor's wife.
Will this fairy tale end with a HEA? Or is Willow making a deal with the devil? What happens when the King marries "beneath" him? Will his people accept Willow?
One-click now and follow along as two people get what they've both wanted, even if the journey isn't without obstacles. I like that Victor knew what, who, he wanted and wouldn't let anything or anyone stand in his way of claiming Willow, not even herself. Though Victor's methods may seem manipulative, it could also be viewed that he was worried Willow would deny him, and used the one weakness he had, her mom, to ensure she didn't. I liked the premise and that Victor refused to give up on the love of his life. As for Willow, she got the man of her dreams and the peace of mind in knowing her mom would be okay.
