Ok so this is a second-chance romance and although I did love the main characters and the story line their was just some things that was just lacking or rushed for me that kept me from giving this book a 5 Star. Because let’s face it I love Melanie’s writing it is exceptional!!! Dallas and Maren was high school sweethearts and he was sent away but instead of telling her the truth he just left. I understand why he showed back up after 12 years but I didn’t understand how quickly she forgave him. Dallas has some secrets he is hiding from Maren and Maren his still holding herself back. Will he trust her with his secret or will he make the same mistakes all over again? This story will have you crying and pulling at your heartstrings. Overall I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it!
