Review for Chameleon Soul by Mia Hoddell

Chameleon Soul by Mia Hoddell
4.5 Stars

Raine Wilkins is alive and in the hospital when she must make the most heartbreaking decision and that is to break up with her boyfriend Teo Coates so he can focus on his career as a Formula 1 driver and not worry about her.

Then Raine runs into Teo again and she must face her feelings for him and deal with secrets from the past that Teo knows nothing about. Teo knows that his brother Dustin, who is also Raine's best friend, is aware of what is happening with Raine and he must truly decide if his relationship with Raine is worth fighting for.

This book is punched with emotion and deals with some intense scenes involving panic attacks. Raine is a girl living in fear and she is finally doing a little better but she is overcome with emotion seeing Tao and the aftermath of it coming out in the press. She is trying to rebuild her life and you just feel so sorry for her and everything she is dealing with.

I honestly feel so sorry for Teo as he has no clue on why Raine really ended it with him and is still in love with her. He knows that something is wrong but has no clue on what it is and how he can fix it and protect her. His career is important to him but so is Raine. His tension with his fellow team mate Aston Hattersey is intense and he knows he is dirty but can't prove it.

I love Raine's relationship with Dustin and Nadine, her other best friend. Their support is incredible and the way they are able to assist Raine and be there for her is so loyal and what you really want in friends. Their devotion to Raine is admirable and really got her through her difficult times.

The ending really left me with a bit of a cliff-hanger and I am definitely looking forward to learning more about Dustin in the next book!
