Review for Catching Fox by Aimee McNeil

Review from Sassy Southern Books

5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Aimee McNeil and I loved it. This is a coming of age book about "Bee" and "Fox". Adalynn and Damon meet when she is six years old. Adalynn gives Damon the nickname "Fox" and she wants to be called "Bee". Bee quickly falls for Fox even at that young age. Bee grows up in a house where her parents are to busy for her and Fox grows up on the wrong side of the tracks. This is so much more than a love story. It chronicles their relationship together and how two people so different should be together. Bee thinks she can save the world and Fox, but Fox doesn't want or need to be saved. Bee does however introduce Fox to music which seems to help Fox get through some of his toughest times. Bee always loved music and wants it to be a big part of her life not to the liking of her parents. Bee tried to get over Fox even in college, but sometimes a love and a bond are just to strong to ignore. There were so many times that Fox tried to push Bee away because he thought he wasn't good enough for her or her family.
This story takes you on emotional roller coaster, one you really don't want to get off of. This book takes you through struggles of love, loss, and rebuilding. I recommend this book and would love to see them in future book or books.
