**4 Stars**
Kylie may be a city girl, but she's hoping to change that thanks to her new home in the mountains of Clearview. No, it wasn't a snap decision but one that seemed to be made for her when her great-aunt passed and left her a cabin. Now Kylie and her two dogs are starting their new life and she's loving the peace and quiet. And then Kozmo, he inquisitive German Shepherd, decides to introduce himself to her new neighbor, one who is not at all friendly regardless of how sexy he is.
Luke hates that his beloved solitary lifestyle has been interrupted by someone not made for the winters up there and her dogs, especially the one who continually invades his personal space. Doesn't he understand boundaries at all? The he knows she won't fit in and will only drive him nuts, as will her dog using his property as his own personal outhouse, Luke can't help but be attracted to the beautiful woman.
Luke and Kiley continue to have heated arguments, words being used as weapons, but both know there's more simmering under the surface. Even if they refuse to act on it. It'll bring nothing but trouble and neither need that, especially with a bad storm brewing.
One Kylie is in no way prepared for. Darn Luke for being right about that. But she swallows her pride, ensuring her dogs are safe during the storm trumps any "I told you so" he'll definitely throw in her face.
As Luke and Kylie, and Kozmo and Rosie, are stuck together while the storm rages outside, another is inside as well. Luke and Kylie know they're playing with fire, the verbal sparring the best foreplay either have ever experienced. And when their resolve breaks, when they can no longer deny what they want, the encounter is hot enough to melt the foot of snow outside their door.
Will Luke and Kozmo ever make peace? How will Luke and Kylie pass the time when they're snowed in? What happens when it passes? Is their time together over or has it just begun? Is a HEA possible?
One-click now and follow along as two people, enemies within minutes of meeting, discover a love so pure it outshines anything else. I really liked this book. Not only were the dogs entertaining, but Luke and Kiley were a joy to meet and read about. I love how grumpy he was, and yes, he had reasons, and the fact Kylie wasn't at all intimidated by him. She was exactly the type of woman Luke needed in his life and the depth of his love for her was a beautiful thing to see unfold. I look forward to the next story in the series.
