Indigo Nights by Louise Bay

Beth Harrison turned to baking in her battle with sobriety and never imagined that her you-tube channel would get her an interview with a Chicago TV station for some baking segments.
Yet a flight from London to Chicago changes everything for Beth when she meets the handsome Dylan James and a one-night stand between the two of them possibly develops into more. Yet both have relationships in their past that have devastated them and neither are sure what they want from the other. As the begin to spend more time with each other they realize how much they care but the issue of trust and distance threatens to tear them apart.
This was a great book and really looks at the battle of sobriety and how a person can ended up an alcoholic and how they can overcome it. Beth has her insecurities and they are understandable and relatable. She has not had an easy go but it really trying to bounce back and find herself, which she is able to do in London.
Dylan is so smitten instantly by Beth and I love how he doesn't give up when it counts the most, although he was definitely an ass at certain times during the book. I also loved how he always got her cake from wherever he could as a demonstration of how much he cared. I though that was awesome that the book centred around baking as it really showed Beth as a normal person. Many of us love cake and to have a guy buy you cake and not be worried about your size was incredible!!
I also loved the support system that Beth had around her with Haven and Ash. It really allowed her the support and confidence to find herself and be the best she could be. The book was amazing at examining the expectations we have of people/relationships and how sometimes we are looking for perfect so then we have an excuse to back away when it isn't.
Great read and looking forward to reading more from the author!
