For a YA Novel, this was pretty dark and a little graphic. So readers beware. There were many ups and downs to this book. I felt the good outweighed the bad. There were times I felt a little disconnected with the characters. But It was hard not to love these characters individually. Victoria is a strong headed person. She will stop at nothing to do what she feels is right. Even if that means putting her life in jeopardy. Nicholas was given a shifty hand as a kid. But now that he is grown up the last thing he wants to be is like his father. He doesn’t want to pass down what he was taught as a kid. He has to make some pretty tough choices along the way and you can’t help but to feel for him. I felt as if the majority of the ‘sexy’ scenes were just a tease. A tease to make you want to read the rest of the book. To find out if any of that sexual chemistry is finally, let out.
