*REVIEW* of By the Hour by Roni Loren

5 Stars from Sassy Southern Girl Linda

This is the first book I have read by Roni Loren and certainly will not be the last. By the Hour touches on several different elements that I really enjoyed reading about. First we meet Elle, who is a doctor at a rehab facility that caters to the rich and famous. She is not necessarily down on her luck but definitely down on life and love. She is divorced and just going through the motions of life that is until one night at a party Lane, who is a consultant with the facility comes over and talks with her. Something about Lane intrigues her and she agrees to an arrangement he offers her.
She knows that Lane is has a past but he could be the one to help her get over his past.
Lane has a job he actually enjoys and fills like he is helping people. He also know that his past could be a problem considering he was a paid escort. He knows Elle has been through a lot and wants to help her, what he did not count on is how much she was willing to help him in college.
This story is so much more than just two people meeting and falling in love. It is about over coming obstacles. I was impressed that the author wrote about Lane's struggles in college. He has always struggled with school and now college is no different but with Elles help he might just be able to overcome it. But he also needs to help overcome her fear of love.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from Roni Loren.
