5 Stars

Gianna LeBron has come from nothing to having everything to losing everything once again in an instant. Desperate to provide food and shelter for her children she takes a job in the mailroom and befriends her neighbour Mrs.Pearl to watch her kids.

Jase Lane is a successful man who is attracted to Gianna the moment he meets her. Gradually the two form a friendship and Jase vows to do all he can to help her out of her situation. As Gianna will not accept any hand outs, Jase and his friends come to an agreement about ways they can help her.

But things don't always work as they seem and soon Gianna finds herself in more difficulties and unable to pay medical bills for her daughter Emmy. When Jase finds out the truth will he be able to help Gianna or will he take matters into his own hands making everything worse?

Will Gianna and Jase be able to sort out their own feelings for one another in between everything falling apart around them?

I loved this story!

As a single mom there were so many parts where I could completely relate to Gianna and the length that she would go to for her children. She would rather do without than deprive her kids but she fell on such hard times that she was desperate to get a job anywhere.

Gianna was proud and didn't want to take a handout but she knew she was in trouble and therefore was willing to help Jase and her friends out. It made Gianna feel important yet she felt she was only there as a friend. Yet it didn't end up working out for her that well in the long run.

I loved Jase and how he tried to hide his feelings for Gianna yet was there for her completely and wanted her to feel important and not that she was taking handouts. Jase would have done anything for Gianna and her kids and was so extremely devoted to them. It was amazing what he did for Derrick and Miss Pearl.

I was blown away by how people change and the way that Jase's friends ended up changing and not being there for him. It was pretty disappointing about Jase's family wasn't there for him as well.

The end was amazing and I am so glad things worked out the way they did.
